The President of the Republic granted an audience, this Friday 4 December,  to Mr. Massimilliano MAZZANTI, Ambassador of the Republic of Italy with Residence in Kampala.

Speaking to the press, the diplomat indicated that his meeting with His Excellency the President of the Republic focused on subjects of common interest between the two countries.

Mr. Massimilliano spoke of cooperation in the fields of agriculture such as support in the production, conservation and marketing of tomatoes with the city of Parma which will provide technical support to Burundi, an intervention which will also be carried out for pork.

Mr. Massimilliano also informed the press that Italy will be a total support for Burundi in political and diplomatic matters both bilaterally and with the European Union.
