59th anniversary of independence: Foreign delegations congratulate Burundi on step achieved in development
Burundi was honored by several delegations from outside, from friendly countries, to support the Burundians in their celebration of the 59th anniversary of independence. In their greeting messages to the population, they congratulated the President of the Republic and all Burundians in general on the 59 years of independence.
They thanked the President of the Republic for having sent them an invitation to join the Burundians on the occasion of this important event, which is an eloquent sign of the good relationships, fraternities and cooperation between Burundi and their respective countries are, they said.
They congratulated the President of the Republic, His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye and his cabinet team, for their leadership, which is expressed through peace and security which have become a reality throughout the national territory.
They all reiterated the commitment of their countries to continue to support Burundi to further strengthen these relations for the consolidation of peace, prosperity and the development of Burundi and Burundians.
Among the countries which had enhanced these ceremonies with their presence are the President of the Central African Republic, His Excellency Faustin Archange Touadera, the Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, His Excellency Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Rwanda, His Excellency Honorable Dr. Edouard Ngirente, Special Envoy of the Secretary General of the United Nations for the Great Lakes Region, Ambassador Huang Xia, Minister of State of Qatar, Dr Hamad Bin Abdulaziz A. Al Kawari, Secretary General from the East African Community, Peter Mathuki.
