During the official launch of the thanksgiving prayer organized by the President of the Republic, His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye, on behalf of all Burundians, in Mutaho commune, Gitega province, he asked the Burundians to give in their life a key place to God, the Almighty, so that he continues to bless and protect Burundi and the Burundians.

The President of the Republic informed that the Burundians have the motivation to give glory to God given the favors he continues to grant to Burundi. He notably gave the example of the protection of Burundi against the COVID-19 as well as the neutralization of all those who intended to harm Burundi.

His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye also said the fact that Burundi has been spared from the COVID-19 pandemic is not the strength of the country but the Lord strength because all the countries of the world including those which are bordering with Burundi have been strongly affected by this scourge.

The Head of State informed that God’s alliance with the Burundian people has already been materialized, which was revealed to our grandfather of the nation, His Excellency Late President Pierre Nkurunziza.

The Father of the Nation concluded his address by announcing that the 4 days will be dedicated to prayer for the current mandate of Seven years as well as the projects that will be carried out during this mandate.
