In Brazzaville, Her Excellency Angéline Ndayishimiye pleads for the work in synergy for the African First Ladies
April 15, 2021, HE First Lady Angéline Ndayishimiye accompanied the President of the Republic of Burundi, HE Evariste Ndayishimiye, to Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, as part of an Official Visit on the occasion of the Investiture of the Congolese President HE Denis Sassou Nguesso re-elected for a five years term.
After the arrival at the Maya-Maya international airport in Brazzaville, in the afternoon , H.E Angéline Ndayishimiye was immediately received in audience by her Congolese Counterpart H.E Antoinette Sassou Nguesso at the Presidential Palace. They exchanged views on the projects and missions of the Organization of African First Ladies (OPDAD) and had the opportunity to explore together the ways and means of strengthening cooperation between the Umugiraneza and Congo Assistance Foundations, respectively chaired by the First Ladies of Burundi and Congo.
Indeed, during the discussions, Her Excellency Angeline Ndayishimiye focussed on the effectiveness of working in synergy: “By sharing our experiences, we realize that our actions are all directed towards the most vulnerable in our communities. I am convinced that the unity of our causes will make our strength. ”
To mark this exceptional meeting which express the strong bonds of friendship that bind them, the two First Ladies exchanged gifts, including works of art carried out in Burundi. They were also committed to developing partnership projects through OPDAD and between the Bonne Action Foundation and Congo Assistance.
