The Head of State calls on leaders to show love and sympathy to their subordinates
December 29, 2020, second day of the thanksgiving prayer which is taking place in Mutaho commune of Gitega province, Burundi President H.E Evariste Ndayishimiye, participated in the teachings for leaders which started with songs of praise.
Based on the central theme of this prayer from Psalm 33: 9-12, the preacher of the day taught on the origin of the Nations. Bishop Deogratias Nshimiyimana called on Burundian leaders to put God above all, to follow his commandments and to show brotherhood and love for one another. He also called on the leaders to always consider the general interest of the people first so that God would bless the country. He finally urged them to reserve the first place for God who continues to protect Burundi.
The Head of State meanwhile, in his teachings, urged leaders to fight corruption, to be God-fearing leaders, honest men hating evil. Reminding the leaders that God has always shown his sympathy and his love towards the Burundians for a long time, he requested them to accomplish their missions well, to show love and sympathy towards their subordinates, in order to benefit from God blessing.
