The Head of State calls on Burundians to unity, love and fraternity for the year 2021
The President of the Republic , His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye, accompanied by the First Lady, Her Excellency Angeline NDAYISHIMIYE, and their children, joined the Catholic Christians of the Kiganda parish, in Muramvya province, in the Eucharistic celebration of this Sunday dedicated to the feast of the Holy Family of Nazareth.
In his homily, the parish priest of Kiganda Father Pierre-Claver Ndayiragije based himself on the words of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luc (2: 22-40) to invite Christians to take as a model the Holy Family of Nazareth, in order to be able to live in love, fraternity and accomplish good works in everything and everywhere.
In his message, the President of the Republic, His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye called on Burundians in general and Christians in particular, to change their mentality from the beginning of the year 2021, in order to be guided by humanism, unity, love and to serve as a model for the whole world.
The Christians of the Kiganda parish, represented by their parish priest, took this opportunity to thank the Head of State who lent them a hand in the rehabilitation work of their church and invited him to continue to support them in other works underway.
