President Ndayishimiye has arrived at Bujumbura from a state visit in Equatorial Guinea
Burundi Head of State H.E Evariste Ndayishimiye has returned from a five-day State visit to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
During a press point at Melchior Ndadaye international airport, the Head of State was delighted by the warm welcome reserved for them by his counterpart H.E Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo during their stay.
He also congratulated himself on the fraternal relations that bind the two countries and pledged to quickly set up the technical teams responsible for the implementation of the trade and cooperation agreements concluded with the Government of Equatorial Guinea.
Returning to the country on the eve of the reopening to the public of the Melchior Ndadaye international airport, HE Evariste Ndayishimiye urged Burundians returning from abroad to strictly observe the health measures taken in the context of the fight against covid 19.
In this regard, he indicated that all members of his delegation would be tested before joining their families and, in accordance with the protocol in place and as a precautionary measure, they are all placed in isolation for three days before new tests.
