President Ndayishimiye continued his state visit in Bata city, Equatorial Guinea
In the afternoon of November 4, the third day of his State Visit, the President of the Republic of Burundi flew from Malabo to the port city of Bata, the second city and economic capital of Equatorial Guinea.
As soon as he arrived, President Evariste Ndayishimiye and the First Lady went to the Monument erected in honor of the soldiers who killed on the battlefield on August 3, 1979, where he laid a wreath of flowers.
The Presidential procession then headed for the Deep Water Port of Bata, a large newly built port complex that allows Equatorial Guinea to export the products of its industrial transformation to countries in the CEMAC zone (Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa made up of Cameroon, Congo, Central Africa, Chad, Gabon and Equatorial Guinea) and elsewhere.
After the Port of Bata, it is the metallurgical factories belonging to the ABIYAK Group which had the honor of being visited by the President of the Republic of Burundi. One metal tube production line and another sheet metal production line.
Towards the end of the morning, the Burundian delegation led by President Evariste Ndayishimiye was led to the smartphone and computer factory, AFRIONE. This factory located in the city of Bata and which uses latest generation technology was inaugurated a month ago by the President of Equatorial Guinea, HE Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, the objective being to promote “Made in Equatorial Guinea ”and to satisfy the local and regional market.
