Sunday prayer : Head of State calls for the strengthening of love and solidarity
The Presidential Family joined, on Sunday November 1, 2020 , Christians of Murayi Parish located in Giheta Commune of Gitega Province for Sunday mass.
As the day coincides with the celebration of All Saints, the Priest of Murayi Parish, in his homily read from Matthew 5: 1-12, he indicated that some Saints including the disciples of Jesus Christ were persecuted but they have persevered in the faith. Apollinaire Ntakarutimana told Christians that “the only way to achieve holiness is to welcome Jesus Christ and follow in his footsteps.”
In his remarks greeting christians of Murayi Parish, the Head of State His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye wished them a happy celebration of All Saints.
President Ndayishimiye hails the love that has always characterized the Christians of this parish and called on them to strengthen it. “You have always shown a heart filled with love for one another. I wish you to continue in the same way and promote this love as well as mutual solidarity ”, said His Excellency the President of the Republic.
